Late dinner in the room after arrival; beautyful garden; reasonable food, friendly staff
Variability of breakfast - only one cheese during our stay; beds a bit uncomfortable
The meal was satisfactory however there was no choice and the sevice was perfunctory .
On first entering the hotel , I was ovecome by the smell . It was unpleasant. Outside of the person at the desk there appeared to be no staff to help with the bags etc. The room was very small and needed a paint job and basic upgrade to qualify as satisfactory. Overall the hotel was very tired and was uncomfortable
Typical Swiss mountain hotel, although in the center of a rather big village. Nice garden Great views to the glaciers of Grand Combin and Mont Blanc (from the rooms at the South side). South side rooms very quiet, the others a bit less (road to cableways). Reception and Restaurant: friendly and fast service, meals ok, but nothing to write home about.
Helpful staff and good garden. Balconies with views.
Our twin-bedded room was cramped - if we opened the wardrobe door, we could not get around the bed. Our friends double-bedded room had plenty of space for armchairs... The bathroom floors were very slippery when wet.
Work outside on dismantalling the manifestation continued until 12.30am on Sunday night/ Monday morning making it impossible to sleep. I checked out early.
Staff and owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was wonderful and the hotel is right in the midst of everything going on in Verbier. The location could not be better, just a short walk to the gondolas (even in ski boots) and near everything a skier might want (equipment, clothing, rentals and pubs!). All together very good value for the money.
Great dinners. Great location to party and close enough to the lift.
Price is too high, well, as everywhere in Verbier.
Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. overall a good hotel in a perfect location very close to ski lift and bars.
Decor a little dated and could do with better sound insulation from other guests - there was a rowdy group the first night.
Cozy, fantastic staff, very friendly and Anna had a great sense of humor. Location is heart of everything, 5 min walk to the ski Gondola and even shorter walk to the many bars and restaurants and shops. You do not need to take the bus or shuttle or drive, you walk to everything. Plenty of private free parking attached to the hotel if you are driving there. Hotel clearly advertises itself as one of the oldest hotels in town, so I expected smaller rooms and older decor - which is exactly the case. Not a dislike, but rather I set my expectation accordingly and I was pleasantly surprised by the location and friendliness of staff. We are an American family living in Europe, and therefore very familiar with European hotels and cultures, they are typically much older and smaller and different with no frills. If you accept this fact, you should be very happy at this hotel. If you are a hi-maintenance pampered-type, this place is not for you. I would stay here again. They kept their ski locker room warm which is a positive - your boots should dry overnight.
Don't expect gourmet breakfast as it is very basic, but we were not planning to eat like a pig before skiing anyway, therefore I viewed it as more than adequate and positive for our needs. Know that Verbier is a party town and very expensive - it is what it is, and the hotel being situated near the heart of everything, you might hear some loud street noises late at night depending on which way your room is facing. Part of the lively ski resort charm!
Friendly restaurant staff, good food & excellent location.
Very Unfriendly front desk, no customer service which made staying not so pleasant. Unfortunately, This is why I would not book this hotel next time.
Very friendly, family owned hotel. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Excellent location in the centre of the village, and only a short walk from the main cable car. Good dinner.
